Love, Death & Robots Notes

Love, Death & Robots Notes

Zima Blue

·      Large murals with shapes of the same shade of light blue

·      The murals got bigger and bigger and he started to build planets with the same color

·      Zima Blue modified his body so much so he can live forever

·      He made a swimming pool, the same one that a woman used to test robots

·      The woman’s robot began to make its own decisions but was passed from owner to owner

·      That robot became Zima Blue

·      Zima Blue is the color of the tiles that was used in the original pool

·      He unmakes himself back to the original form of the first robot

·      Yves Klein Blue

·      Derek Jarman

Three Robots

·      The Siri robot is the funniest but her delivery is the worst

·      The other two robots have completely human voices but think more like the traditional resemblance of robots

·      Orifice? To talk about eating

·      Very cynical towards humans in this city full of human skeletons

·      A cat is still alive

·      They don’t know about cats however

·      The short takes place thousands of year before the presence

·      The cat talks, and there are many more cats

Part 2: Exit Strategies

·      The civilization reverted back to primal ways almost like the walking dead

·      The poor southerners wanted freedom from the government

·      The rich and powerful created seasteads to try and recreate civilization

·      They blame tech millionaires, for being mean to robots and thus creating their uprising

·      Generals resorted to extreme democracy

·      The top 0.01% went on a spaceship to Mars while making a concentration camp for the rest

Beyond The Aquila Rift

·       Starts on a large spaceship, reminds me of the guardians of the galaxy ship

·       As the crew goes into this portal, they go into pods and are submerged in oxygen rich liquid

·       There is a system error and the captain is released. The ship is transported into a repair facility

·       Surge sickness when the ship is sent lightyears off course; will take weeks to fix

·       Thom and Greta reunite and fuck

·       They left earth and are so far away he’ll never get back to the world he’s known, as hundreds of years in earth time has passed

·       The tanks preserve all aging

·       Suzy freaks out and gets stabbed with something that knocks her out

·       Greta says it’s a simulation and Thom is still in his tank

·       Aging is not preserved after all, or is it?

·       The shedar sector is completely engulfed in stranger things-esque parasite stuff

·       Cliffhanger ending that makes me question everything I just watched

The Dump

·      Mr. Dvorchek and Otto live in a dump

·      The main character is a city inspector

·      There is an entire community in here

·      His friend Pearly is caught with his pants down in a flashback

·      A trash monster consumes Pearly

·      Otto is the monster

The Witness

·       Girl sees a murder but it looks like the victim is the same person

·       The witness is a stripper at a club full of gimps and the murderer comes to watch the performance

·       There is another chase on the rooftops

·       They have a physical altercation and he’s shot dead in the same exact spot as the beginning, but the roles are reversed

Automated Customer Service

·      Us in 50 years

·      VR tennis controls robots

·      Robots walk dogs and pick up poop

·      Sunset City looks like Phoenix

·      Rectangle robot does numerous house chores; the vacuubot

·      Shaves the womans dog as well

·      Purge mode kills the fish

·      Vacuubot went completely rogue

·      Every vacuubot model hunts her down

Pop Squad

·      Similar to Metropolis in how the city expands above the clouds

·      Investigating and evicting a family

·      Poor family in decrepit house

·      They kill the kids

·      The society is not letting any more kids in exchange to live forever

·      Alice is injected with a serum that gives her visions? Or its basically heroin “rejoo”

·      Everyone takes rejoo which makes them subscribe to the theory of kids are bad

·      But also I’m sure its what gets them to live forever

·      The dinosaur plush is a symbol for the kids; made by Ipswitch Collectables

·      Briggs eventually starts to see the appeal for children

·      He feels something in a society so in love with themselves they don’t have the capacity to care for anyone else

·      Everyone’s pupils is the same on the rejoo
